Earning Peace

I earn peace by practicing it.

I love me.

I love others the same way I love me.

I see myself as wealthy, having all the resources I need.

Since they come from within, they do not take anything away from anyone else.

Since others have unlimited resources within their very being, they also do not take anything from anyone else.

What results is a perceptive cooperation.

My wealth shares with your wealth and our conscious awareness of this increases our ability to do business together.

In fact, it creates a glow that makes other people want to join in sharing their wealth together.

As we share our wealth, it increases and we share it more and more.

That attracts others to share their wealth, and so it goes on and on.

This is the way I earn my peace, by sharing my wealth.

The Perfect Fit

The perfect fit of your own path.

You will know when you have arrived because the path opens up even more.

Before now, you were always fighting, always struggling.

Now, it becomes simply satisfying work.

All day, all night, all the time.

Lovely, satisfying work.

In ways that were incomprehensible before.

It may look different.

It may look the same.

But it will feel completely wonderful.

Travel Peace

We don’t try to leave in a rush.

We get all the packing and chores done.

We drive out of town at a leisurely pace.

We stop for a sandwich.

We take the time to allow each of us to feel comfortable with the schedule.

We know we will get where we are going.

We set it up so we can enjoy each other’s company before, during and after the travel time.

He prefers to drive.

We converse, I knit, or type on the computer, or read to him.

Sometimes we sing.

Sometimes we are just quiet.

Peaceful Choices

I love choosing from peace.

Instead of there being a competition for my attention, I can peacefully choose what to do next.

By being true to my highest nature and purpose, and letting those activities be my priorities, I am enjoying much more peace in my life.

Trained to please others and carry out their priorities, I have found it liberating to realize that the reason I was so depressed and reluctant to do those things is because they did not match my priorities.

Now that I am free to follow through on what is most enjoyable and important to me, I can do everything else that I need and want to do.

It has turned out to be simpler than I thought.

There is truth to not resisting since it just remains in that form while I do.

Moving to  a whole different way of looking at my life, in terms of what I enjoy doing and feel led to contribute, is creating a flow I had not felt before with any consistency.

Yes, it showed up, but I didn’t pay enough attention to it.

Now I am, and it is giving me many more peaceful and enjoyable choices.

My Peace is My Safety

Sometimes I know not to do something, but I go ahead.

Then I have to get myself out of the situation I could have avoided.

When I am at peace, I know when and whether to go ahead.

Then I avoid problems.

I know to listen for the deep peace which tells me what I need to do and where I need to be.

I know it absolutely.

I am listening more and more consistently, but still it is new territory for me.

When I am safe, other people feel it, too.

We coordinate in ways that are immeasurable and uncontrollable.

I coincidently meet people and just as coincidently do not meet other people.

Being obedient to past teachings does not work.

Those old pathways were induced by other people, other opinions.

My peace comes from following what is given to me.

It comes directly to me.

It is mine, mine to use, mine to share, mine to experience.

I am safe when I use what comes to me.

It comes to me through trusting myself to receive it.

That is a great source of peace.

Listening for My Priorities

I am learning how to not be in conflict with myself.

I am actually starting to listen for my own priorities.

I have had no idea what they were for years and years.

I had gotten into the habit of overriding them.

But now, the opportunity to observe them has arisen.

Boy, am I surprised!

I had no idea what they were.

I have been buried so deep in “responsibilities”, in societal expectations, in obedience and discipline, in “bloom where you are planted.”

Well, those are all right, so far as they go.

But they are not the way to live a life.

My priorities are there because of who I am.

They are the reasons I am here.

They are intended to be expressed.

So now that I have that straight, I think it is going to be all right.

Continuing My Work

My work is coming to me from within.

I am learning to listen for it, and to take action.

Most importantly, now I know that it is there.

I am learning how to “release the hidden splendors”. (Robert Browning)

I am learning to release them by searching for them.

I am gaining courage and belief in myself.

I am not only learning new skills in order to release them, but I am learning that this is my only real work.

I am investing totally in what is within.

It is now becoming a habit.

Being aligned with purpose, conviction, belief and skills is quite a powerful combination.

It didn’t come overnight.

It has come gradually as no other alternatives have been acceptable.

I have had to really search and learn to trust the inevitable.

When you let go of everything, and fill yourself up with powerful teachings, something strong is bound to emerge.

I found it necessary to even let go of good teachings from the past.

They did not get me as far as I needed to go.

I have been able to embrace many of them again, but in a completely new context.

This context is enabling me to serve much more widely.

I am finding a fresh, new, original me.

This self can reach out and share from the foundation that I have had to build from the ground up, actually from below the ground!

But now, I have something that is mine.

I have something that is so powerful and so completely a part of me that I feel resilient.

I can serve, I can share, I can bounce back!

I can meet challenges in a new way, one that moves me forward and does not reinforce the status quo.

I arrive at new points, not just acceptable old ones.

This is good, really good.

I have work that will continue.
