Sound Lessons and Practices

Sharing a peaceful outlook when under pressure is very challenging.

Yet, this is what the Dalai Lama recommends we all do.

Patience instead of reaction allows events to unfold in a way that blesses everyone concerned.

It allows individuals to come to terms which bless themselves and others.

It allows individuals a way to express their needs and to make progress unselfishly toward a bigger life.

Patience and peace within are a constant, once we learn how to maintain them.

Nature deals in peace and patience.

Nature grows what is best suited to the soil in every case.

Our thoughts show the soil we are planting in.

When we are critical and cruel, we hurt ourselves.

Tension and hatred grow cruel actions.

From thoughts to actions to bodily disruption and sickness within.

When we are patient and nurture peace inside ourselves, we, too, grow in better soil.

We are led to discover beauty, love, persistence and respect for ourselves.

These are evidenced in calm and health despite any turmoil or rejection from without.

Nature gives us sound lessons.

Prophets and spiritual leaders give us sound practices.

A Spark of Peace

A spark.

Something different.

A different thought.

A moment.

Where did that come from?

I don’t really notice.

But it didn’t go away.

Later, the same thought sensation.

Familiar.

So what?

But then, again and again.

Over time.

I listen.

It reshapes my life.

It creates an entirely new life for me.

A spark which creates peace.
