Creating a Family and Community of Choice

My ideal family and community gets along and grows together through self-sustaining practices.

Being drawn together through similar current aims creates a beautiful working community family.

I experience aspects of this feeling with quilting guilds, fiber artists, and knitting groups.

There is a shared element in the appreciation of craft and creativity.

As I learn sustainable skills through workshops and classes, there is, temporarily, this same feeling of  community.

M goal is to create a community of people who are skilled and active as they learn how to become self-sustaining, and who have a positive view of life with a spiritual, not necessarily religious, base.

My goal is to have several small or even micro-businesses in which we all engage, along with separate cottage industries plus community gardens.

I would like us all to practice the art of getting along and growing together.
