My Special Role

It is my special role to love and be loved.

I live in the consciousness of the role that my peace plays in my world.

It has lifted me out of a toxic and vicious legalistic environment.

My new world consists of beauty, naturalness, unlimited ideas in action, an outreach to be envied by all, except that all are included in it.

The more I found peace within, the more I was creating this new environment.

Even though I had picked out a location, I was powerless to move toward it.

My peace had to burst at the seams in order to clear the path.

Yes, peace is an active practice.

Yes, peace takes up space.

Yes, peace acts in “real” time.

Yes, I encourage you to make peace your practice.

You will make room for yourself to live in beauty.

What’s more, you will create more peace for others to live in, too.

It always leaks out of our lives into the environment around us.

Peace, peace, and more peace, radiating from within and overflowing.

Peace As Your Old Life Breaks Apart

The peace builds up until you have a new life to contain it.

The old life no longer has enough room for your larger peace.

The peace gently dissolves your old life or it breaks the last shreds and shatters it.

Looking at your new, bigger life of peace, you step over the shards of your old one, and with relief, take up your new duties.

You will continue expand your practice of peace and it will continue to build you a new, wonderful life.

Your service will expand with your practice.

Spiritual Study

Take time to fuel your mind and fill your soul with spiritual ideas.

With loftier and deeper goals, your work and your life will take on new dimension.

Cultivating this habit will push back and silence the noise and motives of today’s commerce.

You will find satisfaction and fulfillment in completely different ways, right where you are.

And if a change comes about, it will be orchestrated and choreographed by your higher ideals.

You will find your safety and security as you persist in your spiritual study.

Your life and your work will expand beyond your wildest dreams.

Living Your Life Right

If you are able to carve out an oasis of peace for yourself, a breath, a moment, in the middle of a busy day, you are living your life right.

When it is possible, you give yourself five minutes at a time.

After doing this for several weeks, you may realize you are becoming addicted to your practice of peace.

You may want to expand it slightly or increase its frequency.

Stopping to give yourself peace is the most pleasant and important thing you can do for yourself.

You will find that it infuses itself into your life in many more ways.

Miscommunication?

I was examining a misunderstanding that erupted out of someone else’s crisis.

Communication was rare and welcomed for several years until this unfortunate crisis.

Because so little relationship had been built up under normal circumstances, there was no provision for understanding or comfort.

On one side was waiting, longing for contact and communication.

There was gratitude and relief for crumbs.

On the other side there was opportunity for communication, proximity, frequency.

But these were rarely exercised.

So when tragedy struck, what was offered was inadequate, didn’t measure up, was misinterpreted.

Bashing resulted.

Since this was so deeply disturbing, I took it into deep mediation.

What I discovered was unexpected.

There had been no miscommunication.

What we were experiencing was indeed what was intended.

Selfishness eventually resulted in a lack of comfort even when it was offered.

I am so very sorry.

But I am also so very glad I know that I deserve better friends and relations than this.

Expanding Peace

It turns out that the first step is establishing peace for myself.

I have found out how to do that by deep breaths, quietness, and the new skill of listening within.

The next step was, that once I could maintain the peace within or return to it consistently, I began to discover the peace without.

Now that I have been practicing peace more and more consciously, I find that it is extending farther and farther around me.

In fact, I don’t see an end to it.

As far as I can see, I feel peace.

Several years ago, a series of talks by author Joseph Chilton Pearce introduced me to the idea of the “torus” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torus).

The idea that there is a three-dimensional ring of energy which we generate around us is fascinating to me.

I like the idea that the energy I am generating around me now is peace.

I like the idea that I can maintain it or find it again when I need to.

I like the idea that it is expanding around me.

It is such a worthwhile endeavor.

I can’t think of anything more important or fulfilling.

I Have the Right

I have the right to my own peace.

Regardless of what other people or situations or world economics or politics is throwing at my world, I have the right to my own peace.

I can find it through every action which I take which comes from sharing an uplifted view.

I am always so grateful when it resonates with someone else.

But the main thing is keeping my own thought so tuned to my Source, so that all I can feel, all that comes into my life, is good.

The unlimited resources of the Universe are for me and for everyone who tunes into them.

This is my peace.
