Without tension

Tonight, my husband had to make an emergency (kind of) home repair.

He was able to do it without any tension.

He was caught up on his grading at school.

He had all the tools he needed to make the repair.

He had had time to unwind from school teaching.

There were no children at home who had end of term papers and projects they need support on.  (They are all grown and have moved out.)

We both appreciated the peace and lack of tension in our lives.

It has taken a while to get there, so we notice it.

We value and revel in it.

Quietly.

Everything was done effectively.

We both have been able to get on with the next thing we are working on tonight.

I am grateful.

And peaceful.
