We get all the packing and chores done.
We drive out of town at a leisurely pace.
We stop for a sandwich.
We take the time to allow each of us to feel comfortable with the schedule.
We know we will get where we are going.
We set it up so we can enjoy each other’s company before, during and after the travel time.
He prefers to drive.
We converse, I knit, or type on the computer, or read to him.
Sometimes we sing.
Sometimes we are just quiet.
